Google Earth w NOAA charts overlay
Geo Garage

These days you can get Google Earth overlays on your chartplotter, but what about normal charts. This feature allows you to look at an area with Google earth and then overlay the NOAA charts for better look at an area. This shot shows an overlay of California San Diego area, half NOOA and half Google. Its pretty interesting to be able to Zoom around the US and then have NOOA charts appear.

When you zoom in on an area say your home town, you can use the brightness feature to contrast between Google and NOOA. The brightness allows you to view 100% Google or NOAA or a blend.
