The Weaver hoist/leaver is the latest in the weaver snap davit line. The hoist/leaver not only stows your dinghy on the swim platform, it takes the engine and stows it vertically at the same time. It does this with a special Weaver motor bracket that the outboard attaches to. Attach this bracket to the inflatable and the hoist/leaver attached to the bracket. The lift works with a foot operated hydraulic lift.

The hoist/leaver is available without the special outboard bracket. In this case either you row your inflatable or lift off the outboard and stow it.

The Non-outboard hoist/leaver kit costs $1,695 and $2,495 for the full hoist/leaver kit. If you are very mechanically minded you can do this yourself, but for most of us you would be best advised to contact a dealer. You can use the dealer locator on Weavers website.

There is a work sheet that you will need to fill out. These dimensions allow weaver to accurately build the hoist/leaver to fit the boat, swim platform and inflatable.

This method although complicated to setup, works well for small bathing platforms. To pull a dinghy on a swim platform the platform needs to be at least as wide as the dinghy.

Picking from the Leaver bracket that your dinghy motor is attached to, the dinghy and motor are brought into the vertical position the hoist remains hooked up to the dinghy/motor. You will need at least one stand-off bracket at the bow of inflatable for stabilization.

The Weaver Hoist is a hydraulic hoist system with a foot pump. By pumping the cylinder with your foot you raise the dinghy on your Weaver Davits to a vertical position up to 400 pounds. You twist a valve to slowly lower the dinghy using the dinghy weight.
